its liquid then? Wil definitely try this as i do at least 3 loads washing every day, often more!

frazzledbutcalm · 04/01/2008 22:43

So do you just bung it all in pan and heat it up? I really want to try this. Where do i get borax?

SueBaroo · 04/01/2008 22:48

Yes it's liquid - I think you can get borax from a chemist. I got mine from my MIL

SueBaroo · 04/01/2008 22:50

Yes, you bung it in - dissolve the soap flakes with a pint first and then add the other powders and then the water, and away you go!

frazzledbutcalm · 04/01/2008 23:05

Can i borrow your mil? lol. Do i just heat til all dissolved together? Im signing off now so i'll get your next post in morning

SueBaroo · 05/01/2008 11:12

Yes, I just boil it through for 30 minutes or so, let it cool a bit and put it in plastic bottles. Be aware, it goes rather more solid when it gets cold, and you have to shake it to use, so don't fill the bottles to the top.

Thanks sue. I've instructed dh to pick up the items i need so i'll let you know how i get on.

where do you get soap flakes? Anyone know a main brand name so i can look then buy a different cheaper pack? Is this ok for sensitive skins?
