MellowChristmasEveryone · 24/12/2007 10:11

blue-birds?

I have one in my garden.... thought it was called something different though, a different colour methinks.

Ledodgy · 24/12/2007 10:12

PMSL not just you!

Desiderata · 24/12/2007 10:12

Aha! Those robins of the bluebird genus?

southeastastra · 24/12/2007 10:12

scary! er they're robins aren't they?! very cute

JoyeuxNoelBiggy · 24/12/2007 10:12

That'll be one of those "menage a trois" things then.

Happy Anniversary, anyway!

Ledodgy · 24/12/2007 10:14

Oh I didn't even get on to the bluebird thing I just thought it sounded like the birds were celebrating their anniversary!

JoyeuxNoelBiggy · 24/12/2007 10:15

They are bluebirds. Their backs are blue.

And together for 20 years too.

Ledodgy · 24/12/2007 10:16
Grin
Miaou · 24/12/2007 10:19

And not only that, but the caption says something about "US snow storms" but most of the pictures are of Toronto ... erm, isn't that in Canada?

cornsilk · 24/12/2007 10:19

Maybe they are very cold.

Bouncingturtlewithtinsel · 24/12/2007 10:19

Obviously no-one ever played them Winter Wonderland lol

TenLordsaLapin · 24/12/2007 10:28

Oh bless, did you see the Royal Marines moustache competition?

I know this one!

They are always doing this, the loons; I remember a load of them having a bet where the loser had to grow a massive tache for a friend's wedding - the best man lost . He sported this massive ginger tache for the ceremony, then hurriedly shaved it off before the photos - so he has a very distinct tan line in all the pictures

Bouncingturtlewithtinsel · 24/12/2007 10:44

yes, some of them are rather nice looking ;)
Oh well all the girls love a Marine

Blandmum · 24/12/2007 10:47

The bird called a robin in the US is a totly different species of bird to the one called a Robin in the UK.

Quite a few different animals of different specis share the same common name between the US and UK.

Most of the founding fathers and mothers were city folk and had little understanding of wildlife!

Myrrhcy · 24/12/2007 10:48

American bluebirds do look similar to the European ones

NAB3hundredbaubles · 24/12/2007 10:49

Couldn't view the link.

Myrrhcy · 24/12/2007 10:52

Myrrhcy · 24/12/2007 10:55

TwoIfBySanta · 24/12/2007 12:08

MrsWeasleysmagicmincepies · 24/12/2007 12:21

NAB3hundredbaubles · 24/12/2007 12:32

It was my computer that was the problem. Seen them now. Thanks.

christie1 · 24/12/2007 16:23

Toronto is in canada. I am living in this walloping of snow. Not that is is over, it was fun. We are going sliding today. We had about 4 feet of it. ONe of my kids jumped in and went up to his waist.
