Slightly off-topic, but my theory is that we should pay the PM a salary of £10m a year, and government ministers at least £1m.

That would be a miniscule drop in the ocean of public expenditure (and still a bargain compared to the pay of executive directors of huge corporations, which are minnows compared to the government's budget). But it would mean people with talent and ability would be attracted into politics, instead of the ludicrous bunch of incompetent, lying, self-serving cunts that we currently have.

Talk about stitch a man up. Who could have got it right during his tenure and then kick him out just as (hopefully) it's all over.

Nadhim Zahawi is not going to be a friend of teachers, or parents. When defending the government cutting free school meals provision, he claimed parents actually preferred to pay a pound or two. This claim had no basis in fact.

They have one agenda, the only thing that changes is the gob that’s spouting it. They are fodder for the criticism later.

That said, an Education Secretary who thinks that ‘everything’ ends with a k was a new low.

I'm sure they can dredge up someone equally terrible. Spoilt for choice.
