Do you think she has finally lost it or is this a ploy to create more employment???

I mean can you just see factories being created to produce tiny little milking machines for rats, cats and dogs???

And what do you suppose she proposes is done with all the little baby rats, cats and dogs which will need to be bred so that their mothers can produce milk for human consumption? Doesn't sound particularly ecologically sound to me.

deluded.

WendyWeber · 20/11/2007 10:45

I think she makes it up as she goes along. That, and she's lost what wits she ever had.

(All the little baby rats, cats and dogs can be turned into pet food - the circle of life you know )

chopchopbusybusy · 20/11/2007 10:49

She hasn't really thought it through has she?

NotQuiteCockney · 20/11/2007 10:51

I think she's suggesting rat's milk etc to point out the weirdness of us drinking cow's milk.

Iirc, she's vegan, and hence not really in favour of anyone having milk, other than the appropriate offspring.

spokette · 20/11/2007 13:03

"There are fields and fields of grain just miles from starving children in Africa, being shipped to Europe to feed our livestock".

The questions I would like to ask her and her fellow fruitcakes are

  1. If we all became vegan, how many fields of grain would we need to feed everyone?
  1. What kind of grains would her and her ilk allow to be grown, bearing in mind the concerns about large rice paddy fields (they emit as much anthropogenic methane as cows) and soya products (contain phytoestrogens).

The naive, one dimensional solutions that she and her fellow simpletons put forward are so laughable that it staggers me that anybody takes them seriously

Callisto · 20/11/2007 13:04

She is mad. Humans have been drinking the milk (and making cheese etc) of the animals that they herd for milennia. Why couldn't she be sensible and suggest horse, sheep or goat milk as an alternative?

Blandmum · 20/11/2007 13:09

I'm imagining teeny, tiny little milking parlours.

Actually if she wanted to encourage us to dink milk that is the closest to human milk in its constituents she should be promoting Rhino milk.

and it would stop them being endangered!

Not sure I'd be brave enough to milk one though

Flame · 20/11/2007 13:10

She's an odd little woman....

Tommy · 20/11/2007 13:13

she is beginning to come across as completely crazy...

clumsymum · 20/11/2007 13:13

Utterly, totally, completely BARKING MAD

Blandmum · 20/11/2007 13:16

I am reminded of that great line from Red Dwarf

'We are all out of Cow's mild, so we are using the exmergancy standby, Dos mil'

'Dog's milk' splutters lister
'nothing wrong with dogs milk, full of marrowbone jelly, only problem is that no bugger'll drink it!'

Blandmum · 20/11/2007 13:17

Ohhh and get this

'She then drove a gas-guzzling Mercedes 4x4 to Speakers' Corner in Hyde Park to speak about ecological matters - and kept the engine running for part of the morning.'

very green!

Flame · 20/11/2007 13:23

She's "beginning" to come across as completely crazy?!!?

That ship sailed looooooooooooooong ago

spokette · 20/11/2007 14:16

I wonder if she is prepared to tell the poor Africans, whose fields that she is so worried about, to stop drinking the milk of their cows and goats?

When my DM was growing up in Jamaica (30s/40s), her mother had a goat and she would milk this to give to her 10 children!

NoBiggy · 20/11/2007 14:20

Did you see NotQuiteCockney made a sensible point there?

JeremyVile · 20/11/2007 14:25

NQC - That's how I read it too.

She's still hatstand of course...

Blandmum · 20/11/2007 14:26

Do you not think that someone else thought of that , and she rather ran with the idea in its more literal sense???

CaptainUnderpants · 20/11/2007 14:37

How would you milk a rat , would need a very small milking stool

Lost the plot her and whoever told her about it , or perhaps they were a plant by Sir Paul ?? Who knows eh ?

TigerFeet · 20/11/2007 14:41

[moves index finger in a circular motion close to temple]

Well my cat could start earning his keep

(typed that then remembered cat is male, but left it there for comic effect )

Kathyis6incheshigh · 20/11/2007 15:02

I could milk a rat

EricL · 20/11/2007 15:04

Yeah - i am sure she regularly drinks rats milk.

My arse she does.

Stupid bint. I wish she would shut up. It's loonies like that that give us weirdy veggies a bad name.

MissM · 20/11/2007 16:19

This really did make me giggle. Surely she's just having a larf?

Anyway, she can afford to be looney - once the divorce goes through that is...

Tommy · 20/11/2007 16:38

maybe I've only just started to notice what she says! I've always ignored before I saw her on on Fern & Phil and she had obviously lost it by then

Saturn74 · 20/11/2007 16:42

I'm sure this was the storyline to a Simpson's episode once.
