not as good as seargant podge

pukkapatch · 14/11/2007 19:58

eh?
whilst it sounds batty, why is he being given time? surely the courts have too much to do cathng real perverts? why are thye wasting time on what seems like a harmless man?

Hallgerda · 15/11/2007 09:29

I agree with pukkapatch. After all, the man was just doing something odd in private that the cleaners happened to walk in on.

Upwind · 15/11/2007 10:26

Surely most of us have been guilty of conducting ourselves in a disorderly manner in the privacy of our own hotel rooms?

And I never knew it was illegal to "simulate sex" with an inanimate object. Ann Summers should put warnings on all the toys they sell that using them in the manner suggested is breaking the law!

lljkk · 15/11/2007 10:29

Agreed, Upwind. Is this something in Scottish law? Presumably he'd be off the hook if he just told the cleaners to come back later.
Surely the bicycle hasn't filed a complaint (has it)?

Peachy · 15/11/2007 10:32

In his own house? Doesnt that cover every act of amsturbation then? Bizarre!

Mind you....'by a misunderstanding after he had too much to drink. '-

CodDickinson · 15/11/2007 10:33

no

alot ot perverts(sic) start wiht low levekl crime

at least he is int he sytstem now fwiw

totaleclipse · 15/11/2007 10:34

Granted he did a weird thing, but he did'nt hurt anyone, being put on the sex offenders register FFS

I mean what, is the bike distressed, is it going through therapy!

Peachy · 15/11/2007 10:36

There's low level crime and totally irrelevant to anyone else on the planet 'crime'!

What a waste of resources.

CodDickinson · 15/11/2007 10:40

maybe the hostel didnt ocunt as his own hosue or htere is ar ight of entry or summat.
or maybe there was the HINt at him doing it to show off.. hence not answering the doro

pukkapatch · 17/11/2007 12:27

aaah, i see, so next time dh and i are 'at ti' and the doorbell rings, if we dont ansewer, it is to show off?
doesnt sound qutier ight there cod? home, hotel, hostel. if i'm engaging in sexual activities with dh, or an annsummers toy, i will not be answering the door.
nothing show offy at all. i simply want my privacy.

bigwombat · 17/11/2007 14:53

I think this case is outrageous - OK, the man is pretty warped to want to have sex with his bicycle, but in the privacy of a closed room, surely this is not a crime?? I just can't understand at all why this warrants being put on the Sex Offenders Register, which apparently has happened. Maybe the cleaners walked in on something rather weird they didn't want to see, but I need convincing that this is a crime!
