Kerry Katonas comment on being bollocked for still smoking...

Health experts have criticised former Atomic Kitten singer Kerry Katona for smoking while pregnant.

Katona owns up to lighting up The star admitted she lit up every day - but had cut back from 20 cigarettes to one.

"In the morning, I like a little puff on a fag," she said.

The 27-year-old said she had tried using a nicotine patch, but "it left a mark".

"I think I've done really well cutting down from 20 to one a day. I think the only times I really smoke is when I've had a drink," Katona explained.

I don't particularly like Kerry Katona, and I don't agree with smoking during pregnancy, but is she still drinking or just saying she smoked a lot when she drank, therefore doesnt smoke as much now??

If she wasn't saying thats he only really smokes whilst pregnant when she has had a drink, then I think she has done pretty well to cut down to one.

It won't be the last we hear of her though, there will be an interview every week or two on every aspect of her pregnancy, I guarantee she finds out what it is just to publicise it.

Ok, I've just read the article, and it indicates she is till drinking

Again, two drinks isn't really a huge deal, it depends how often she is drinking, how much and how much she smokes when drinking.

Sick of seeing her picture on front of all magazines in the shop (EVERY WEEK a cover story in OK). Just because she has married the man with the biggest head in the world she doesn't have to parade her sorry self. She is a waste of time.

If payment for interviews is part of her income now, then I suppose she will continue to provide the fodder for people foolish enough to buy the publication, be it newspaper or cheap glossy magazine.

I still don't know why this person is so famous. Who is she anyway? I don't read sleb mags so have no idea.

this woman's biggest problem (or attribute ?) is that she is far, far too honest or perhaps 'open' is a better word.

Crikey, if I'd smoked while pregnant, to any degree, I wouldn't speak about it, wouldn't post about it, and frankly couldn't live with myself. A mother owes it to her child not to. However hard it might feel. Babies don't ask to be conceived.

This is why this mum... drives past Iceland without stopping.

Are they delibrately trying to sabotage their brand? or trying to appeal to people who think she's a role model mum?

Can she be sterilised? Along with Jade, Britney and Kate Moss?

I say well done to her for cutting down ,now perhaps she can work on getting rid of that useless twit of a husband and things will be much better . perhaps she can investigate a 'husband replacement patch'

I think going from 20 a day to one a day is pretty good.

Her comments are a bit sad and deluded, but so is everything that comes out of smokers' mouths in order to justify their smoking (as an ex-smoker, I know this!).

Can't help agreeing with Desiderata on this one, though.
