Capitol Hill on lockdown, Senators all on lockdown, senate building breached by pro trump protesters, they've somehow managed to get into the senate floor.

All because they are refusing to accept the results of the election.

So worried how this could end.

Completely wrong. Each state has a National Guard which is primarily a state agency, but which can be mobilised by the President. Since 2007 the President has had the authority to mobilise National Guard units within the USA without the consent of state governors. The National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2008 made the National Guard a joint function of the Department of Defense.
