We used to have a hamster named after Ned Sherrin.

Tamum · 01/10/2007 21:46

Oh no. He went to the same school as me, albeit slightly earlier. He was so entertaining.

Spidermama · 01/10/2007 22:13

I used to see him at the Ivy.

Oh, I just saw this

Loose Ends made me cringe but in his earlier incarnations he was very funny.

Spidermama · 01/10/2007 22:39

Kooka dahling.

oh i liked him. grew up listening to Loose Ends on a Saturday morning. don't get me started on Victoria Bloody Coren.

Marina · 01/10/2007 22:43

76 he was well-preserved.
Loafing about in bed on Saturday morning with the papers and Ned was such a quintessential part of my youthful child-free weekends, I'm so sad to hear he's died.
Loved the fact that he went to a school called Sexey's

Mercy · 01/10/2007 22:43

Wendy, yes agree.

He was very luvvey and backslapping in some ways - but very talented and funny.

Loved her obit in the DT LL, she was quite a gal

Tamum · 01/10/2007 22:59

Marina, if you scroll down you will work out that so did I It's even on Lusty Hill...

Marina · 01/10/2007 23:00

I saw that after I posted Tamum and then thought you might not wish to have your alma mater publicised further. Lusty Hill though, snurk
Surely he was there many years before you though!

Tamum · 01/10/2007 23:02

Well yes, even I am not that old I didn't go there for long, it was the boy equivalent of the school I went to, mostly.

Marina · 01/10/2007 23:03

I was about to say you look remarkably fit for a Sexagenerian...
