She needs to deal with her depression and/or addictions before anything will get better in her life. Babies aren't going to make things easier.

I watched an interview with Bryan a while back & he seemed so sensible.

He said he had to grow up really quick when he realies that Kerry wasn't going to, and that he was afraid of his children growing up with Kerry's husband as their main male role model, hence he wanted custody but would not stop Kerry from seing them as often as she wanted....
