This was in the paper on Monday and only the littlest had died in that report, but 3 more have died now, it's almost unbelievable - story here

Just 2 vehicles passing on a narrow road. Awful.

Oh God - how horrific.

HOW did they fit 7 children into a Land Rover?

Jennifer8 · 19/09/2007 06:54

I cannot imagine how they will bear it

Freckle · 19/09/2007 06:57

Absolutely tragic. I wondered how they fit 9 people in a Land Rover. Must have been specially designed or something.

They all seem to have lovely unusual names.

tiredemma · 19/09/2007 07:03

It was 12 seater type land rover apparently.

Very tragic.

lizziemun · 19/09/2007 07:07

It is very close to where I lived until June (about a mile away). The road is very narrow, and I can't imagine trying to overtake (which is what they were doing according to the police). Whatever the circumstances however, it is completely tragic and I can't imagine what the parents are going through.

fedupwasherwoman · 19/09/2007 14:59

Were they overtaking or passing a vehicle going in the opposite direction ?

Hulababy · 19/09/2007 15:00

I read about this on the BBC site. Very sad

WendyWeber · 19/09/2007 16:29

I've just read "passing" - some reports say going in opposite directions, I've not seen anything that says overtaking.

I heard they were trying to overtake the other vehicle/

So very very sad - unimaginable

ELF1981 · 19/09/2007 16:35

I'm not far from where this happened, its a very story. My heart goes out to the family

3madboys · 19/09/2007 16:37

my parents live near this bridge and when i lived at home one of our next door neighbours lost a brother at the same place.

it is a very narrow road and apparently was unusually busy due to a rowing event, they were either trying to pass or moved out of the way but slid down the embankment

very very sad

StripeyKnickersSpottySocks · 21/09/2007 17:44

I used to know the dad when we were teenagers. Very sad.

2mum · 21/09/2007 18:43

This is so sad. The poor couple have lost their four youngest children. They must be heartbroken.
