DD has also made sure her HSM tshirt is clean and ready.

She even has a musical HSM toothbrush

And it is al Cod's fault too - never heard about it till I saw MN, and Cod recommended it for DD! Now we have seen the film dozens of times, and have the soundtracks, the lot. DD loves it.

cod - they were supposed to be just going for the pizzas. However that has now been extended to a trip to pub opposite - just for one mind I suspect that one beer may last the whole haour and half!

DD1 hates HSM with a passion.

She will be in her bedroom listening to 'Dead' by My Chemical Romance and sticking pins into wax dolls of Troy and Gabriella (note how I know the names).

She's not even a teenager until the end of November. God help me in a couple of years time. She'll be like the Goths on the Irn Bru advert - listening to Cds of clanging bells in a darkened bedroom.

I fully expect DD to be like that - and I know she will then rebel and like dance music just to spite me.

She's certainly EMO with Goth tendencies (they all have to start somewhere, I suppose). Mind you, fancied myself as a bit of a goth once. Not a very good one, though. It must be in the genes. Is there such a thing as genetic predisposition to Gothicism?

Must google and find out.

I will be watching it with DS1- He loves it- he even sang one of the songs at the schools equivalent of the 'X factor'- on stage.

If there is a gene, then DD will have to really fight to rebel with dance music - with us as her parents, she has no hope.
