okay glad I saw this post as I need a rant!! (not read all posts tho) was on the phone to my MIL today and she took great delight in saying I told you so about this!! I was fuming as I truly believe that it is still best for baby. There are many benefits. She has always had a problem with me breastfeeding (it wasn't done in her day, she never even considered it) and she gets in digs as often as she can.

Why can't she just shut up or say well done for giving your girls the best start in life???

Good for you lomondgal. Even if this study is right, there are still plenty of other benefits of bfing, as you well know, so stick to your guns - YOU are in the right, not her!!!

lomond./...just tell your mil next time she goes on about it...ok, Breastmilk is not best it's normal, so, it's your choice where you put an artificial Formula....
