Do not see why we should be bullied out of discussing this so am starting a new thread

OP posts:
SixKinds · 08/09/2007 18:18

Do they really need to know?

MrsPuddleduck · 08/09/2007 18:19

And if they knew where they were going would they go to Portugal or stick to a more low key resort where there wasn't a media circus?

LadyTophamHatt · 08/09/2007 18:19

aha, read the thread now.

seems you are all bored.

Excellent and about time too

Rhubarb · 08/09/2007 18:20

Do they just sort of, feel about with their mouth then?

Perhaps they've got a nose?

DirtyGertiefromnumber30 · 08/09/2007 18:32

hmmm, without wanting to appear a 'worm geek' i think they are light sensitive and also 'feel vibrations' (man)

Ulysees · 08/09/2007 18:32

Same species are able to regenerate amputated segments of the body. Regeneration of tail
segments occurs more readily than head segments. There does seem to be a limit to the number of segments that can be regenerated, but this number varies from species to species. No known worm species, if cut in half, will form 2 viable worms.

Found that ^ but does the latter sentence mean in half longways? Seems to be contradiciting itself?

Rhubarb · 08/09/2007 18:32

geek.

Ulysees · 08/09/2007 18:33

But are they 'good good good good vibrations' dirty

SixKinds · 08/09/2007 18:36

If people addicted to reading are bookworms then people addicted to chat rooms must be threadworms. Ha ha, ha ha ha.

DirtyGertiefromnumber30 · 08/09/2007 18:37

tis true. am geek.
ds had worm farm for xmas last year and the questions kept comin'. I was on the internet every 5 bloody minutes trying to find the answers.
anyhoo, at least i know what my mastermind specialist subject would be now...

Can worms swim?

MrsPuddleduck · 08/09/2007 18:46

Interesting to see you talking about dirt as opposed to bleach and cleaning.

You cleaners from yesterday are getting critisied on another thread!

MrsScavo · 08/09/2007 18:47

Can worms wriggle backwards?

TheArmadillo · 08/09/2007 18:48

worms can drown iirc so if they can swim then they are not very good at it.

imaginaryfriend · 08/09/2007 18:58

So when I used to keep worms in plastic bags full of water and call them water snakes as a child I was actually a worm-drowner?!

CatIsSleepy · 08/09/2007 18:59

our compost is full of worms

they're very useful creatures

Hallgerda · 10/09/2007 09:44

Ulysses, I don't think there's a contradiction. The head end survives and grows back the bits it lost, which may include some "head" segments - the tail end dies.

biglips · 10/09/2007 09:48

...

im really laughing on this thread now

Can worms smile?

krang · 10/09/2007 12:34

The one my DS tried to eat yesterday didn't look too happy.

Bleaugh.
