Gordon Ramsay's right testicle is recovering nicely

Apparently he burned it whilst cooking "commando".

Am not his biggest fan but am definitely sympathetic as it can't be much fun. However,

a) WHY is this news?
b) Didn't his mother tell him about basic safety in the kitchen?
c) Apparently Jamie Oliver has done similar whilst cooking in the nude
d) WHY is THAT news?
e) And ditto Jamie's mother!

Does being a sleb mean you're not allowed to have common sense any more?

About cooking in the nude, I read somewhere that the best way to make a perfect fried breakfast is to cook it in the nude. That way you cook veeeery carefully, ensuring that the fat doesn't get too hot and that the bacon is of prime quality and not pumped with water.

Not that I've tried this myself - I have people to do this for me (ie the hotel chef when I'm on holiday).

When I was very pregnant I was cooking stir-fry naked as I was so hot - I suddenly felt my bump and it was roasting hot, I was really concerned because it got really hot before I felt anything. So there's a lesson to be learnt - don't go stir-frying naked. (also naked ironing if you have pendulous norks, I burnt a nipple one time).
