Court battle baby 'only feels pain'

It sounds from what the doctors say as if she should be allowed to go...what a rotten decision for anyone to have to make about their own child (which I suppose is why they want a court to do it for them?) Poor little lamb.

There's abnother thread on this today with some people's views.

Very tragic story.

how heart breaking must that be! its a hard decision but i think i'd although its easy for me to say not being in the position, i'd want to let her go, the thought of the poor little girl suffering and having a life time of pain is really sad, on the other hand the parents must be hanging on to hope, hoping that she might get better! really really sad! poor little thing hasnt stood much of a chance in her short little life, really upset me this one x

JuniperDewdrop · 30/09/2004 17:03

I suppose only those who have been there will truly know how the parents feel. I think I'd be clinging on to hope like them

The judge has decided with the doctors - BBC News again .

One of the things her father said was that they wanted her to have a chance to go outside and feel the air on her skin. Maybe they should just unplug everything now and take her outside in the sunshine tomorrow, before she gets really sick again.

Incredibly tough decision to make, but I would hope that I could be strong enough to let her go knowing that her life will never be anything other than suffering . I really feel for her poor parents.

edam · 07/10/2004 20:20

The judgement of Soloman, isn't it? Poor baby. And poor parents.

FairyMum · 07/10/2004 20:36

I think there was no right or wrong decision here. Just glad I didn't have to make it and I feel desperatly sorry for the family.

nightowl · 08/10/2004 03:13
