I found this on the web to do with the case of Madeleine McCann and it's just a bit odd....

This is just for anyone who's interested in the case - please no arguing and no FGS comments - although you've got to admit that this is a bit odd.
Remember the picture of Gerry McCann playing with the children in a playground on their holiday and there was a bald guy with sunglasses in the background? the picture quickly disappeared presumably because they can't divulge any information about the case. Well, the same guy is also pictured a few days later with Robert Murat bp1.blogger.com/_mXbRBcSh0gs/RrSuZMNvt9I/AAAAAAAAAvw/6pppYaufzR8/s1600-h/01_FOTO_ARTIGO.jpg

well yes you are right...but just imagine if they hadnt seen it ....
just the remotest chance that they havent...

Rachmumoftwo · 26/08/2007 12:10

Better to be well meaning and wrong than to just sit back, criticise and do nothing IMO.

turquoisenights · 26/08/2007 12:17

i think these pictures must be sent to police, and whoever this person is must be found out.

NKF · 26/08/2007 12:18

It's threads like this that make you wonder if the massive publicity campaign hasn't been a mistake. Just think of the hours the police must waste deleting Google links.

fawkeoff · 26/08/2007 12:19

i think you have done the right thing in sending it to the police.they dont seem to have got anywhere in the investigation, and there could be the tiniest chance that they havent picked up on this yet.Isnt this what its all about???? people coming together and giving whatever help they possibly can.

ledodgy · 26/08/2007 12:26

Do you not think whoever bothered to put these on the internet and circle his picture with a red circle would have told the police already?

AttilaTheMum · 26/08/2007 12:31

I'd assume this was the other guy the police were investigating right at the beginning who was some friend/associate of Murat - can't remember his name.

dinny · 26/08/2007 12:34

I can't help thinking the plice saying they think it was an accident in the apartment and she wasn't abducted is a ploy to make them (abductor/s) slip up. I feel v strongly Murat is involved.

beansprout · 26/08/2007 12:35

Oooh, this is like the famous five, but with a lot more bad feeling!

ledodgy · 26/08/2007 12:37

Oh can we please stop with the speculating and leave the detective work to the police. Even the McCann's want the public and the media to stop the speculating so can we please respect their wishes. here

beansprout I was going to say it's like bloody Scooby Doo.

beansprout · 26/08/2007 12:39

Scooby snack anyone?

harleyd · 26/08/2007 12:41

unfrickenbelievable. shouldnt you be getting on with the housework and leaving the detective work to the police

JeremyVile · 26/08/2007 12:47

You kow this constant speculation and obsession with the case is not really my thing - I dont get it.

But I actually find it less annoying than the people who insist that others MUST stop speculating/discussing it.

Honestly, have you seen the amount of shit that gets discussed on here? Its a forum, by its nature everything will be discussed - whether its your cup of tea or not.

Jo71 · 26/08/2007 13:09

What I don't get is despite all this speculation and discussion which is cool nobody has said why did they leave 3 children on there own in a hotel room 3 children concieved via IVF and why have social services not been involved and why have one of them not come home to try and get the some normality back into those poor twins life who have lost their sister or am I the only mother thinking this????

littleoldme · 26/08/2007 13:18

Jo - I agree totally . IMHO there would have been manymore ?s asked had Mr M not been a rich upper middle class white man. It all smells a tad funny to me.

harleyd · 26/08/2007 13:23

i didnt say that people must stop talking about this. it just pisses me off that people turn all amateur detective like and think they can assist the police by googling and trying to find clues.

mummy2aaron · 26/08/2007 13:23

Totally agree with you Jo.

JeremyVile · 26/08/2007 13:25

Yes the 'assisting the police' thing infuriates me and makes me laugh in equal measures!

sandcastles · 26/08/2007 14:01

Jo, we have had many many threads about this & all your points HAVE been raised several times, as have many many more.

The new threads don't attract attention on the scale that they used to, as people have nothing new to say.

But you can rest assured that it has been discussed to the hilt!

MiuMau · 26/08/2007 14:02

Waitaminute?!
Isn't this massive Madeleine Media Campaign all about 'assisting' the police, in a way. Everybody keep your eyes open and look for Maddy... Or look for clues to find her. The web is a virtual, parallel reality.

Jo71 · 26/08/2007 14:10

Thanks for that I am new to this site still finding my way around!!

sandcastles · 26/08/2007 14:15

Thats OK Jo...takes a while to see what's what!

twocutedarlings · 26/08/2007 15:00

Just had another look at the the photo and i now think it's suspiciously possible to me that it's been fiddled with, as it appears to be a womans legs, lower torso, coat and handbag with a mans upper torso and head transplanted on, and a red ring masking the join.
