Mattel 'Cars' toys 'Sarge' recall

My DH just told me about this Thought it was worth passing on.

Sarge is the army jeep character.

I've checked DS's and his Sarge was made in Thailand - phew

Great, it's listed on the US site but not the UK one. Does that mean it isn't sold over here do you think? Wonder if one of the US rellies gave it to him... that's going to complicate matters...

I don't understand, I've read that Polly Pocket stuff has been recalled in the US but not here. Are they different?

Califrau, thank you that's very kind I've emailed both the US and the UK customer service people - I'll let you know if they're being less than helpful.

There's PP stuff listed here but don't know if only some batches are actually being recalled, there's no serial number detail . Have emailed but could be a while apparently... They have to be seen to be doing something but actually doing it is something different I suspect.

I have a weeping 4 year old too. His Sarge, bought as part of a pack from the Disney store, is smaller & doesnt have a serial number or country on it so fingers crossed it wont be recalled.

I still have a recalled wooden James train sitting on top of my desk (hasnt made it to the top of my "to do" list yet!!)
