I don't actually even understand what he's saying . Am I being really thick?

I took him to mean that

1. God organises the weather
2. They didn't have rush hour when God was a lad
3. If they had, he'd have thoughtfully arranged this weather for the middle of the night

Or, even more thoughtfully (if she existed) God could have arranged for the rain to hit somewhere which needed it, like, say, Moldova

I just checked Faebook to see if God was on it

DD asked me if God was on email!!

Or is he more of a .org kind of guy?

I think he's more of a .gov type guy.
