Let's hope it is brought under control faster than the last time around and that not too many farms are affected.

Nightmare time of year for farm holidays too, which will all be cancelled if this isn't brought under control quickly.

Interesting that GB is coming back from a holiday to attend and urgent COBRA meeting - I wonder if they are worried that it is a terrorist thing?

I just hope the government doesn't come out with the idiotic response it did last time, ie "the countryside is closed". If they do, then it's not just farmers who will suffer (and they have already suffered enough, imo), but every hotel, guesthouse, campsite, pub, restaurant, riding school, outdoor activity centre etc that is not in an urban area. And this following on from a summer season that has already been a washout (literally, for many).
