apparantly we are selfish and self centred

A comment was made like this 'those parents are being totaly selfish and selfcentered,i have a daughter and i sp[ent time talking and explianing about what happened to Madeleine.Yes my daughter got scared but i was there to resure her,yes it took alot of my time but i would not have it any orther way.What if it was there child just think about that what would you do?I say continue with advertising campaign.Some people are just compelty selfish.

the 'you are so selfish' line takes away any credence from the argument

we all have to do what is right for our own families, and insulting those who don;t agree, is missing the point

the fact that the person who explained it to their child had to spend time reassuring her and giving her comfort, surely points to it being inappropriate to disucss with a small child, who does not have the intellectual capacity to process this, and understand the rarity of the event
