I was. I have chosen NOT to tell my nearly 4yo about this. I haven't discussed it in detail with 9yo ds either I CHOOSE not to put the news on in our house. I really resent this being shoved at my children before a U cert movie. Completely inappropriate imo.

there are many real life issues that aren't suitable for a little kids cinema trip -

parents should have the say so on what they let their kids know about the 'real world' at such a young age when it's hard for them to understand the whole news story.

I expect they'll be so helpful and the advert will have been completely worth it

they are showing it fr the parents - a group in society whose own experience may help them empathise and maybe encourage action

mrsR - do you mean that they don't try to make sense for of what they see?? That's why there are cinema age limits as even extreme things that kids don't understand they rememebr & it effects them.
