she told the judge she would partake in her court hearing via phone and not in person so the judge sent police to her house and she has been ordered back to court.

At least they tried to lock her up - over here we have the delightful Pete Doherty who openly breaks the terms of his sentence yet he's not in jail yet and as for his girlfriend....if that had been any other mother her DD would have been removed by now.

Ain't the world of celebrity great

How long before we see George Michael driving after his 2 year ban today....
And to think I was going to marry him

And the moral of this story is.... remember to do your pelvic floor exercises!!

maisym · 08/06/2007 20:25

drink driving - disgusting - she should have her driving permit taken away for good.

www.stockguru.com/paris/

This is quite amusing and, scarily, exactly what I can imagine the spoilt brat writing herself!

tortoiseSHELL · 08/06/2007 21:21

lol! Hurray for that judge who seems to actually be on the side of justice!

PersonalClown · 08/06/2007 21:45

Finally! A judge with some sense.
The majority of votes on the BBC news site seem to agree. Almost 94% think she should serve her time.
We all know she's going to make a fortune on the talk show circuit.

Finally, Ms Hilton has brought some joy and happiness to my little 'mundane' life

ViciousSquirrelSpotter · 08/06/2007 22:25

LOL apparantly this has upset her fans

Newsflash people, Paris has fans

(Who the fuck are these empty people? They are worse than her)

kimi · 09/06/2007 09:58

So is she going back because she would not go to the court hearing???

I see, god put her in jail, leave her there for 40 or what ever and then let her out.....
end of, I am so sick of her.

SSSandy2 · 09/06/2007 10:16

I'm not really au fait on the whole American legal system but according to the sky broadcast on that link, the Sheriff is responsible for running the jails and he felt her mental health condition had deteriorated so alarmingly that he had allowed her to return home which conflicted with the judge's clear sentence that she had to spend the time in prison.

I think we all pretty much suspected there was one rule for the rich and one for the poor as far as the way US law is actually enforced. What seems weird in this particular case is that Paris is not benefitting from the usual preferential treatment a rich person/celebrity would probably be able to get there. The fact that this preferential treatment is wrong altogether doesn't seem to really be the point. Have to admit I don't really get the whole thing

TinyGang · 09/06/2007 10:18

Love your post Yoda, Lol

How true!

'I think we all pretty much suspected there was one rule for the rich and one for the poor as far as the way US law is actually enforced. '

And you think it's different here?

LOL!

Georgie11 · 10/06/2007 00:46

At last, a Judge who decides prison recommendations has stood by his word (and over-ruled the sherrif). She is a spoilt child who thought she was above the law. While I hope that she fares OK in prison, I hope it will be a lesson to the rich and famous that they are not beyond the law

One channel said she wasn't going to the loo in case the prison guards took photos of her to put on the net. So then she didn't drink or eat and got extremely dehydrated, which was the 'medical problem'.

Ummm, pull some clothing in front of you or go to the loo at night you silly bint!!! Or maybe don't break the law in the first place if you're that concerned about privacy!!!

Hulababy · 11/06/2007 21:43

Get her back in priosn. She commit a crime, she got caught breaking her sentence - so she should serve her punishment inf ull like any normal person would have to.

Bad enough her getting a private cell; should be mucking in with rest of them IMO!
