I can't stop thinking of this poor woman and her daughter's and unborn child.

Yet another case of the husband being responsible

DM best friend was stabbed 50+ times by her husband. He stood up in court and said the most awful things about her. The police were excellent and saw right through him. I'm sure nobody will believe this shitbag.

Quite honestly, when I read the initial reports that they were missing (it was covered widely in the US), I thought 'no - a pregnant woman with 2 small kids doesn't just walk out without purse, keys, car...' and thought that he had possibly done what he has confessed to.

The old psychology was that a pregnant woman was very unlikely to murder her children or commit suicide (not sure what the thoughts are these days) and there was no mention of her having any mental illness.

Absolutely shocking.

This man is truly sick, how did it come to this?

If the story he is telling is true - that Shannan killed the children - then why would he go hide their bodies in vats of oil? Surely even if he'd killed S in a fit of rage, he'd call 911 in the hopes that the children could be revived or something? Or at least to show some respect to them. Someone who loves his children so much that he kills to protect them (as he bloody claims) doesn't dump their bodies at an industrial site, I'm sorry.

This story is so painful and horrible.

I thought that too - if someone murdered my child I would hold them and cry - not dump the body.
