False Stories saying that Peter Andre has died

Heard on the radio this morning that last night there were false stories being circulated on the net that Peter Andre had died yesterday.
Apparantly his website has had to put out a statement to say he is still alive

I think this thread is heading into dangerous territory now so I'll bow out as calling Jordan harmless is the limit for me

Aloha.. re where you said this thread has done what Jordan does.. and reduced women to "bodies".. I don't agree.. I think the people who have been jumping up and down irately at the very thought of some of us daring be supportive of KP is what has made this thread about women's bodies. Can you see what I am (probably incoherently) saying? The point I was trying to make was about KP the whole person.. not Jordan-of-the-outsized-tits. It is unfair to dismiss someone as a "brainless bimbo" because you (anyone!) don't like their accent and disapprove of their boob job and their "ill-gotten" bank balance. She is still a PERSON.

And for the those with such high hopes for their kids that they firmly believe that they will neither look at page 3, nor listen to rap music... you are going to be disappointed. I mean this in the sincerest way.. loosen the reins and broaden your minds; intelligence has nothing to do with these things! (It also isn't everything!)

Interesting thread. I always marvel at how "The Jordan Product" seems to produce such hysteria among women.

Did I say that I didn't think my children would see these things? Of course not. I full expect them to feel the force of them. And it is precisely because the values that Jordan (et al) promotes and earns so much money from are so harmful and dangerous that I feel so hostile towards what she does.
I said nothing about her accent. it is totally irrelevant.
The reference I made about reducing women to bodies was specifically about a very stupid post about how I could only object to the values of pornography becoming mainstream if I had body image issues. This implied that it was impossible as a woman to hold a view that was unconnected to my body. Women are more than their tits.

I have to say I find it amazing that so many people seem to have no objections as to how she earns her money, and yet on so many other threads people are happy to put down footballers, or other celebrities for the amount of money they have, and I?ve even seen people say that people working in the city and earning huge bonuses shouldn?t earn the money they do and yet they actually work for a living.

"Jordan" IS a product. KP dreamt her up to make money. It worked. Meanwhile Katie Price herself is a person. Someone's daughter/mother/sister/wife. But you can view her as an "it" Donnie if it pleases you.

thanks shinyhappy, my mind is pretty broad already and I hope to foster the kind of intelligence in my children which will mean that they they won't bother (ie they'll know it exists but create their own ideas about its - low - value) with either.

and I don't mean intelligence in its narrow, exam-passing way. i want my children to feel happy about life including how they look.
