False Stories saying that Peter Andre has died

Heard on the radio this morning that last night there were false stories being circulated on the net that Peter Andre had died yesterday.
Apparantly his website has had to put out a statement to say he is still alive

Her body is definitely freakish, after the kind of surgery she's had.

And like it or not she reinforces the negative body image which we're all trying to discourage our children from picking up on - size 00, massive norks and dayglo skin - which the Hollywood & Hello! crowd would have us believe brings us perfect happiness. she's even said herself that she lost her babyweight and went back to work too quickly - whilst she was suffering from PND.

Hardly a role model.

I wouldn't say nasty things about her, but how many of us would want our daughters to grow up like her? Not me for sure.

The point of this thread as far as I can see was not to have a mumsnet bitchfest over Jorden/Katie, it was over the fact that some sicko had posted Peter had died.
But this is how mumsnet works these days, Oh a sicko posted this ohhh not over exciting but we can all rip this woman apart and judge her and her life and be smug that we don't behave like that.

I have no objections to the way she sells herself, her husband and her children. That's her business and she makes alot of money by exposing their lives as often as she can , it seems.

After her last baby there were headlines from Jordan which read along the lines of: "I hate my fat body" and "how I'm going to lose two stone in two months."

Funnily enough this peurile argument really does illustrate exactly what I loathe about Jordan and the whole industry that she is part of. It reduces women to bodies, and the ideal is a freakish body.

Jesus, if we are having a competition as to who has more 'body image issues', I think the person with numerous major surgeries to alter their appearance usually wins.

I think women's bodies are truly beautiful when they are pregnant, I remember glowing for days after a lovely female physio gave me a massage, and told me I looked fabulous

Look, I don't have to have personally met the rap artists that peddle a homophobic guns and violence lifestyle to object to what they are doing on political grounds. The same goes for a woman who sells herself as a masturbatory aid, and fuels the whole ideal of women as things that is so destructive in this society. It's not really a hard argument to follow. Though tbh I wouldn't expect it to be something that Jordan would grapple with.
