Posting to see what people think. My gut feeling was that his account has been hacked by someone, but now its starting to look like they were actual legitimate tweets from him. If true this is a level above his usual nonsense.

Even the usual suspects (John Paul Watson etc) have criticised his decision.

Actually I think the best outcome would be for the invitation to officially stand but for the visit never to be arranged. He needs sidelining/disregarding/neutralising - exactly like a toddler in a strop. No giving in, no condoning but no fuel on the fire either. The patience to wait for his time to pass.

MissEliza · 30/11/2017 14:59

Barbarian I reckon that's what the government is doing anyway.

Fekko · 30/11/2017 17:00

I don't know. I say invite the bugger over and send him to Glasgow for the week. He's sure to get a very special and creative welcome there that even he couldn't gloss over.

MissEliza · 30/11/2017 18:15

I've told my family to expect me to be demonstrating on the streets if Trump ever comes here.

Fekko · 30/11/2017 18:35

I just horrified the office by announcing that I would moon him if he came over. Proper shocked faces all round!

noblegiraffe · 30/11/2017 19:50

There is the issue of whether he will be invited to Harry and Meghan's wedding. She is American after all.

SwedishEdith · 30/11/2017 19:58

No WAY will he be invited. Would be great if they invited the Obamas instead. Grin

Fekko · 30/11/2017 20:24

Someone told me that the obamas would be - usually currant is president aren't because of the additional expense of security. I think the obamas would be way more fun that the orange one (who would try to be the centre of attention) and his old sour puss wife.

nursy1 · 02/12/2017 02:08

Barbarianmum
I think the Americans and the U.K. , let’s face it, the whole world are just sidelining Trump. Every one is just working round him and waiting for him to pass into history.
Scary that the US is such a place that he could ever be voted in though.

OhYouBadBadKitten · 03/12/2017 09:21

If Obama comes we should all have an anti protest with lots of welcome banners and cheering.

Martina888 · 03/12/2017 19:09

It's all a big storm in a teacup over an irrelevant medium , ie. Twitter, mainly used by people to let off steam, bark but no bite

Martina888 · 03/12/2017 19:10

OhYou - Obama has had his day and what with his 'Britain will be back of the queue' speech, doubt he'll be that welcome anyway

noblegiraffe · 03/12/2017 19:14

Are you Jacob Rees-Mogg, Martina? He seemed to think that tweeting Britain First videos to 40-odd million people was no biggie either. What a turd.

OhYouBadBadKitten · 03/12/2017 19:14

what funny ideas you have Martina.

Anyway, if we get that far, looks like Trump may be arriving here 27/28 February. Time to start painting those placards!

Martina888 · 03/12/2017 19:17

Oh You: too right, I'll be proudly wearing my 'Make America Great again' red cap, with a banner saying 'Welcome to our Sceptered Isle, Donald'

Rees-Mogg has the right idea, one of the few adults in the room at present

OhYouBadBadKitten · 03/12/2017 19:26

Go for it Martina, it’s a free country.

Martina888 · 03/12/2017 20:43

yep sure is, and let's not forget, Trump is a DEMOCRATICALLY ELECTED leader, just like how Brexit was a DEMOCRATIC DECISION

why is it that most liberals choose to ignore these very basic, yet supremely important facts...

theworldgonemad · 03/12/2017 21:00

Ooooo whole new thread needed for banners and slogans. How about #Noteafortrump let him come, it will soon find out what the majority think of him...rather than the shouty shouty minority 😇

Fekko · 04/12/2017 08:41

Democracy is a funny old illusion these days...

Fekko · 04/12/2017 08:44

Oh sorry that should be DEMOCRACY!!!! I forgot - of you say it loud enough and often enough, things actually become FACT!!!

So says your most favouritist MN poster (ME!!!!') MMNGA! Yay. Don't believe the FAILING netmums. It's all LIES!!!!!!

Martina888 · 04/12/2017 19:17

the people voted for Trump because they wanted him, did that ever occur to you? Just like how we voted to Leave the EU

Fekko · 04/12/2017 19:26

He actually got fewer votes than Clinton. Russia was all over campaign. I wonder why?

theworldgonemad · 04/12/2017 19:34

"We" who is "we". Love it when the extremists claim to talk for everyone. And yep I count anyone who supports BF, National Front, Combat 18 as an extremist.

Fekko · 04/12/2017 19:37

Ignore the trollbot.
