So what did everyone think of the Lions Tour?
Was it a good advert for the Franchise, or should the Tour be discontinued?

Bubbles - you seem to be convinced that rugby belongs to private schools. While we have a number of private school players at our Club, 75% of our youth section are state school kids. And around 40% of those don't play at school, only Club. This is true for the majority of Clubs that I have had contact with in the last couple of seasons. Our Colts have played teams from Gloucester, Cornwall and many London area teams. We also hosted a team from Yorkshire. All have similar statistics to our Club.
The professional game has made a huge difference in terms of player base.
Confused - you spot on with the World Cup making a difference. More countries getting a showcase on a big stage is really taking the game in new directions. I'm currently enjoying updates from a coach in Rwanda! I find that incredible! As there are more and more former players getting coaching qualifications and moving around the world, they are taking our brilliant game with them.

Having said all that, this year's Lions Tour was phenomenal and i can't wait for the behind the scenes DVD. The other good thing is what great ambassadors so many of the players have been, both for the Lions and more importantly, for the game.
