... or could she just have waited a little bit before thrusting this child into the limelight?

She's on the cover of Hello with him, already.

She could have waited and then again she could have not done it at all.

expatinscotland · 21/03/2007 09:52

She's a freakin' nut job.

BettySpaghetti · 21/03/2007 09:52

I thought she apologised for putting him in the "media glare" when she adopted him and went to pick him up so yes, being on the cover of hello a week later, does make a mockery of her apology.

Piffle · 21/03/2007 09:59

she is in all the papers anyway being stalked
She will get shedloads of money which she will donate to charity as it probably specifies in the article
also hopefully people will get their fill she can do the photos and interview on her terms and then be left in reasonable peace while he settles in

lesser of two evils IMO

nailpolish · 21/03/2007 10:01

apparently he cried at the adoption ceremony and hid from his new mum

he seems shy and she should not make it worse by inviting photographers to snap him

she is pg again too

wannaBeWhateverIWannaBe · 21/03/2007 10:01

it's a no-win situation for them though isn't it? If she appears on the front of a magazine she's thrusting him into the limelight too young, and if she doesn't questions are asked of his whereabouts, whether he's ok etc. at least by giving the media a snapshot of the child she can now keep him away from the spotlight if she chooses without questions being asked.

tbh I didn't even know she'd adopted another child.

emkana · 21/03/2007 10:05

She's pregnant as well?

I hope Brad Pitt and her are not spreading themselves too thinly...

lissielou · 21/03/2007 10:08

is she? link please!

Mumpbump · 21/03/2007 10:16

Not very informative...

is she or isn't she?

mysonsmummy · 21/03/2007 10:16

i am sure lots of children are a bit nervous when they neet their adoptive parents - they are strangers to them after all. they could have been through anything to make then wary of people.

agree if she tries to keep him hidden the paprazzi will hound for 'that' picture.

Piffle · 21/03/2007 10:19

that link is from sept 06....

Mumpbump · 21/03/2007 10:20

Couldn't find anything else, so I'm guessing it's not true (or at least not confirmed) otherwise it would be reported somewhere on the net!

Issymum · 21/03/2007 10:23

"apparently he cried at the adoption ceremony and hid from his new mum"

DD1 howled every time I touched her during her adoption ceremony and DD2 resolutely refused to leave her nanny's arms. I thought that this was entirely appropriate. If an institutionalised child of this age is immediately open and affectionate with strangers it is generally taken as a 'red flag' for attachment disorder.

suejonez · 21/03/2007 10:29

DS screamed for an hour when he first met me and it took weeks before he smiled at me. Everyone said what a good sign it was that he had normal stranger fear and was not randomly affectionate.

I'm so glad I did have the press follwoing me - it was bloody hard enough as it was.

Also one of the photos I saw of them in a UK newspaper last should be reported - it was obviously not taken with her permission as she was actively trying to shield him. The press are not allowed to publish childrens pictures without consent of the parents IIRC - famous or not.

it ws in Grazia this morning that she is pg again

JanH · 21/03/2007 10:50

I agree with piffle - she is doing the paps out of their sneaky "exclusive" shots and she decides where the money goes.

bundle · 21/03/2007 10:56

poor child. isn't kerry on the front of Ok! with heidi too? (smiling, but eyes look "dead" iykwim)
i don't think i wiped all the goo off my t shirt before 8 weeks...

Edmond · 21/03/2007 10:59

they are a bunch of twats
all of them

ipanemabunny · 21/03/2007 14:46

It does seem odd to adopt so many in relatively quick succession with so many moves of country and home and either parent often being away working 12 hour days.
Odd
I would have thought they had enough already!

suejonez · 21/03/2007 15:03

I agree working parents should not be allowed more than 2 children. Thats more than enough.

And adopting children with a two year gap in between is far too fast - they should have been made to wait at least 5 yrs in between.

Outrageous behaviour.

nailpolish · 21/03/2007 15:12

i have to say if i had lots of money/time/houses/freebies/private jets/privelidges etc i would do the same as angelina and brad. i really really would

ipanemabunny · 21/03/2007 15:14

But they can't compete with Mia Farrow... yet

expatinscotland · 21/03/2007 15:14

I would train guide dogs for the blind. That'd be cool, because then you could take the dog into shops and that.

Aloha · 21/03/2007 15:15

I saw the babies in the Vietnamese orphanage. It looked a very clean, airy, caring sort of place, but I still wanted to take every single baby home.
