I think - amazingly - it'll be red or purple (hung)

Purple? UKIP have one seat! They're not even vaguely in the running!Grin

mummabearfoyrbabybears · 08/06/2017 21:13

I really hope it's Blue. Anything else would be an absolute disaster.

Nospringflower · 08/06/2017 21:45

I hate the thought that it will be blue but think it will. Too many narrow minded, thinking of themselves, racist, bigoted, capitalists out there.

nappyrat · 08/06/2017 21:46

I guess just going by what I'm seeing / hearing from actual people & not the polls.

And the fact that the expectation ahead of trump / brexit was so wrong.

And my (rough!) feel from the above comments seems to be 'blue but I really hope not', which suggests a lotta people voted red?!

I really think the tories have gone so far recently / shown such a huge lack of care / feeling for eg the disabled / poor that a lot of usual blue or other voters will go labour to get them out

The labour spending plans / deficit handling was the main barrier to me voting red but I was really surprised when I read up to find that I felt the tories have been alarmist over this issue.

It is not - seemingly - that unusual, or level if national debt. As a % of GDP, or compared to historic levels. I was surprised to find this.

I am red but even I am realistic that it will be blue. Part of me kind of wants it to be so labour don't get the blame for Brexit deal fucking up. The Tories created that mess so they should clear it up.

IDontBowlOnShabbos · 08/06/2017 21:53

I wouldn't base opinions on what people say here, it's very left leaning (including me). We'll know more in ten minutes when the exit polls are out. Fingers crossed for red but it will probably be blue.

MiddlingMum · 08/06/2017 21:54

If the whole of the country was like our town it would be orange. It's very hard to spot any signs other than orange ones, although I did see a lonely blue one in a field on the outskirts.

Suspect it will be blue though Sad

Smellbellina · 08/06/2017 21:55

Blue

DrHarleenFrancesQuinzel · 08/06/2017 22:06

Everywhere I look its all about trying to get people to vote red. Maybe that's just says more about where Im looking rather than what is actually happening.

The polls say blue, but then the polls were wrong on brexit weren't they? And I think they were wrong the last GE too? So could they not be wrong this time?

I can't say TBH. I dont think it will be as blue as earlier predictions gave us.

DumbledoresApprentice · 08/06/2017 22:08

The exit polls are suggesting a hung parliament. Don't want to get too excited.

nappyrat · 08/06/2017 22:10

Exit polls saying hung...

I'm not going to lie, so happy right now! In your smug face Paul Dacre! Hopefully, even if there's a small conservative majority they can't push through the cuts they want.

Smellbellina · 08/06/2017 22:37

So excited. I've been in a morbid funk all day, suddenly snapped right out of it!

nappyrat · 09/06/2017 07:50

Pretty good result!
