did the test results come back - what did they say?

misdee · 02/03/2007 22:14

i am trying to read the reports, i filled up my car on tuesday at morrisons in welwyn. dont want to scare myself, but know its one of the affected stores. eeek.

RTKangaMummy · 02/03/2007 22:22

how do you find out which ones are affected ?

All I can find is a UK map with coloured squares

misdee · 02/03/2007 22:24

how i know welwyn one is affected

RTKangaMummy · 02/03/2007 22:28

Oh dear hope yours is OK Misdee

Misdee - A couple of days ago the news was saying that the petrol in the pumps now (ie Wednesday) would probably be ok as all the faulty fuel was put into cars a few days/weeks previously, it was most likely all gone now and the petrol stations would've refilled with fresh fuel by now.

Or something like that, so hopefully you'll be ok

my car was running funny two weeks ago (juddering a bit), i kept saying to peter it didnt feel right. i checked everything and the tires were slightly flatter than recommended, but it still didnt 'feel' right. i often use morrisons as its near where i live.

I hate to be bearer of bad news, but one of the girls at work filled up there too this week and her car is really playing up
trading standards are suggesting you keep reciept for petrol and all bills for getting it fixed, then when tesco, morrisons are found to be at fault you can claim back
lisa

mine is covered by mobility lisa. its due a service next month. but i really cant be without the car. oh and apparently the other two petrol styations here nearby are being investigated for card scams, but i dont know if thats just rumours. so its cash only at those two (nr town and stanborough)

themoon66 · 02/03/2007 22:47

is this a south east problem only?? I always use tesco to fill up. I think my car is ok, but last week i thought it might be mis-firing when i stopped at a roundabout. I fill up once a week in Lincoln.

misdee · 02/03/2007 22:49

mainly a south east problem

mommajools · 02/03/2007 22:50

My car had the same juddering problem in the last few weeks which came and went. engine light would come on and it felt like it would break down. garage put it on the computer but couldn't find the problem . i'm south east but dont think i used the petrol stations mentioned - always BP!
