aaaw, i actually cried a little...

QueenEagle · 10/02/2007 12:28

I loved that - how fab would it be to watch the video back 25 years later?

Lilliput · 10/02/2007 12:31

As if you haven't got enough to organise for a wedding without practising a dance and getting your friend to practise too.

LieselVentouse · 10/02/2007 12:36

Thats fab funnily enough when we got married DH didnt want any soppy dancing he wanted to do Youre the One that I want (Grease) but I said no it was too cheesy. I wish we had now.

Twiglett · 10/02/2007 12:39

looks more like GROOMZILLA to me TBH MP

morningpaper · 10/02/2007 13:01

Lilliput QUITE! Also you would be STRESSED all day until it was over

Mind you it's raised the standard a bit - I bet anyone thinking of having The Time Of My Life as their first dance this year is staring anticlimax in the face!

purplemonkeydishwasher · 10/02/2007 13:12

the dirty dancing guy is soooooo into it!!
you just know it was his idea!!!!!

purplemonkeydishwasher · 10/02/2007 13:13

they do look ike they had a lot of fun!
(i'm getting all teary too!! )

Pixel · 10/02/2007 15:24

I watched all the way through wondering if she would do the 'lift' at the end. Even with a little help it was a good attempt. Not sure I would trust my beloved to hold me up in the air like that!

futurity · 10/02/2007 15:56

just watched it again...only because DS1 (age 5) asked...honest!;)

Oooh I found the original

Still fantastic after all these years

He is MANLY I tell you

Gobbledigook · 10/02/2007 20:23

Oh god they are both priceless - that really cheered me up as I am sat here working adn it's very boring. THey both made me laugh!

bristols · 10/02/2007 20:45

Brilliant. And Soooooooo envious. Would never get DH to do anything like that. I'm lucky he danced at all on our wedding day! Much nicer to watch than the rubbish he's watching on tv at the mo

marthamoo · 10/02/2007 20:51

I'm with morningpaper - I predict tears down the line for the Dirty Dancing couple when he runs off with the best man

ShowOfHands · 10/02/2007 21:01

Oh you'd have to be supremely confident to do that in front of all of your friends. Still wouldn't change our ceilidh for the world but it looked like great fun.

Glad I'm not the only one crying, I thought I was just being pregnant and hormonal...

Gobbledigook · 10/02/2007 23:23

Just showed dh - I'm quite surprised as he was pretty impressed! I just think it's hilarious. We did a bit of a routine at ours but nothing like that!

Skribble · 10/02/2007 23:39

We sort of shuffled around to that one from Robin Hood or some bon jovi ballad or summit like that. Can't remember I just know he didn't ahve the one I wanted so he played soe other romantic tat .

hunkeydorey · 10/02/2007 23:43

I would have loved to have done something like that. As I've not yet managed to get married I guess there is still a very slim chance (as if). Obviously couldn't do Dirty Dancing now, would have to think of something to accommodate my 2 left feet.

VeniVidiVickiQV · 11/02/2007 00:00

I must be due on...it made me all teary watching that first one.

essanel · 11/02/2007 00:33

lol marthamoo + morningpaper - i thought it was strange that he went off kissing men at the end loadsa fun -enjoyed crooning along with at the original -the internet is fab

I predict Thriller-Groom to be the first out of the closet. Loved them both though - I was grinning like a loon.
