I was amazed to read they only had one aircraft carrier. How embarrassing for them if it broke down I thought the same however I think a man with complex like putin is best avoiding embarrassing him and YES its awful that we cant stop this flotilla of death whilst we condemn it in NATO and Parliament etc.

If it's any consolation, it's nothing like as scary - for the UK - as the Cold War with the former USSR.
I can only vaguely remember the Cuban missile crisis, but mum said later they had all sorts of horrific drills for dealing with mass civilian casualties (dad was military)
