She got out of the car in the tiger enclosure after a "row". You've got to wonder exactly how bad a row that would have had to have been I hope whatever went on in that car is fully investigated. Awful death. And awful for her family

The footage is not of the woman that died though, it's the daughter being dragged off. Her mother is killed off screen after exiting the car to save her daughter.

You dont see the death.

The woman who is grabbed in the footage was the survivor. Her mother chases after them off screen and she is the one who is killed.

The woman is looking over at the car behind, I presume they were trying to warn her.
I just can't get my head around why you would leave the car.

Wild predators should never be put in the position where they have to be shot because people have not understood that they are dangerous. They're rare enough as it is.

China needs to look at the example of India if they want to improve the rates of wild tiger survival.

The follow up story, beneath the original one, claims that the people in the car were not arguing and had thought they had left the enclosure. Maybe there was another gate, keeping two breeds of cat apart and they had went through one?

From what I read, the couples were arguing and the woman got out. They thought they were out of the tiger enclosure.

I agree with you Bastard, it looks like an argument over who should drive - as in "Well YOU bloody drive then" / "Get out ILL drive" type thing (depending on which side of the car the driver is, I'm not sure).

Utterly idiotic. I think this is what happens when you remove 'reality' from people, they become completely unaware of the real dangers and forget themselves.

Of course the rangers have a choice! Tha animals have no choice - they act on instinct. The people had the choice to stay in the car!

Sad if they thought they had left the enclosure... But still not the animal's fault.

A tiger is not a cuddly stripey cartoon character on a packet of breakfast cerial. It is the top carnovor in the food chain. The one that eats everything smaller than it. And in this case, eating does not mean a human putting a bowl of food in front of it.. It means running down and killing a live animal by ripping out the prey animals throat.

We anthropomorphise animals into humans then get upset when animals are animals.

I am saddened for the family of the woman who was eaten. But I am more saddened by the decision to kill the animal. It is not like a dangerous dog that lives with humans until one day it goes bad. It is a wild animal living in an enclosure without human contact other than as keepers.
