Chat: Jade -- was it all staged?

Interesting.

Jade usually struggles to string a sentence together. But on 'first' showing of all the media clips she was incredibally articulate and contrite.

And didn't say the obvious -- where is everyone?

Thoughts...

Teletext page 305: page 1

Jade admits Shilpa racism.

Jade Goody has admitted that fellow Celebrity Big Brother contestant Shilpa Shetty had been subjected to "bullying and racism" in the programme.

Jade, who is donating her show fee to charity, said her behaviour had been the biggest mistake of her life.

The 25 year old, who has been evicted, said she needs psychological help and will only have herself to blame if her attacks spell the end of her career.

magicfarawaytree · 20/01/2007 23:51

i agree she is a very damaged person. I dont think she will deserve the treatment from the pubic she will get tho.

hunkermunker · 20/01/2007 23:52

She clearly has huge problems, which have been magnified and broadcast to a far wider audience than they ever would have been had she not gained fame through BB.

Her mother makes me feel physically ill - and I don't say that lightly.

i think personally jade was told to go in there and attack someone like that it makes good ratings because lets face it the line up of so called celebs they have i didnt know who half of them were and jade goody is money in the bank as far as headline grabbing behaviour goes i can see why she chose her to go off on shilpa what a target she made, and lets face it if shilpa was white british this wouldnt have made half the headlines and fuss it has it seemed badly scripted from the start the so called argument i found it pathetic and switched off this years big brother is a big flop as far as i am concerned

expatinscotland · 21/01/2007 00:26

they tipped her off about what was going on outside the house and then coached her on how to act.

that bit was all staged.

as for her bawling her head off in The News of the World, that was probably genuine once she realised she'd shot her cash cow by showing her true colours.

the less attention people pay her, the better.

don't buy anything or watch anything w/her in it.

Pann · 21/01/2007 00:34

clemster - not Pseudy at all. I thought 'good point, well made'.

Apart from being utterly beautiful, Shipla also has poise by the ton, and would not wish to put someone elses contribution down.

Pann · 21/01/2007 00:35

or 'Shilpa' even...

VeniVidiVickiQV · 21/01/2007 00:39

Ágree.

mummycan · 21/01/2007 01:18

It is definitely not a live evivtion. Friends who live near the BB house have told us that in previous years that they can hear all the noise and cheering at an eviction about an hour before it is shown "live" on TV - Endemol are making fools of us all - boycott them and all that they touch.

mummycan · 21/01/2007 01:19

"eviction" even!

clemsterdarcy · 21/01/2007 10:28

LittleLapin, Pann, VVV -- thanks for the explanation and support. I was a bit surprised that in a thread that fundamentally extols the virtues of different forms of expression and opinions mine was slammed!

Greensleaves -- you're spot on, I do tend to verbosity ... especially when impassioned by something.

Glad I gave you something to laugh about.

Off to buy Private Eye now ...

Ha -- bet you're popular with the neighbours ... although 'Nessun Dorma' must be a popular opera hit for MNetters anyway!

Just good to put my word-a-day loo roll to good use!

To curtail impending pseudo-corner-ocity, have decided to try to spend the day in Goody-speak ...

I am not a rashalist

I'm the 25th most inflooenshall person

Feels quite nice ...

C4 and Endemol had no choise but to stage it IMO. Jade has well and truly hung herself by this and by having a usual eviction she would have been drawn and quatered by the crowd. Throwing her to the lions as someone said is NOT the answer to this - it merely makes the "lions" as bad as she is.

If you want your pound of flesh then rest assured that she will be tormented / spat at / abused wherever she goes by some of the choicer members of society who deem it appropriate to behve in the same way she does.

By letting her have a staged exit I feel that C4 and Endemol behaved in a way that was more Shilpa's way of doing things rather than Jade's and as we have censured Jade's behaviour and praised Shilpa's surely then that was the best way forward?

CODNoMore · 21/01/2007 15:18

I agree interview was odd and did she kNOW there woudl be no crowds?

Pennies · 21/01/2007 15:22

Of course she knew. They all knew exactly what had gone on. There's not a shred of reality about it all. Vanessa Feltz ({blush]) was saying that when she was on CBB they were all briefed by producers on what to say / events outside etc throught their time in the house. And nothing exciting happened when she was there.

CODNoMore · 21/01/2007 15:23

" if you watched the interview she got so many words wrong and she was trying to sound as articulate as possible and kept tripping up.

"

yes BECAUSE SHE COULDNT REMEMRB WHAT TO SAY

Rowlers · 21/01/2007 15:26

While I didn't like the behaviour I saw, I would argue that Danielle Lloyd and Jo O'Mara (sp?) appear to have been right in there and are not getting the sort of slating that Jade Goody has received.
And I thought that the way in which Pete Burns and that goon Barrymore bullied Jodie Marsh last year was far more offensive.
Has everyone forgotton that?
The red-tops are having a field day with this.

Sheraz · 21/01/2007 15:30

Totally staged, if she had come out with no warning she would have been in bits like she was in the diary room. She had clearly been told to make up with Shilpa to soften the baclash against her. Danielle is now being such a creep towards Shilpa, to try and salvage her own reputation, they make me so corss - but i still keep watching!

Sheraz · 21/01/2007 15:31

I founf danielle eff off home jibe far more offensive than Jade's outburst over teh oxo cube

KarlWrenbury · 22/03/2009 18:49

oh look how things change
and here too

BabyBaby123 · 22/03/2009 18:51

fgs - the woman died today - give it a rest. I think you should find something else to do, rather than slag off someone who has just died. It's pathetic.
