Read a piece in a glossy mag recently about all the bacteria and germs lurking inside and on the outside of handbags (think where you put your handbag while using a public loo...).

expatinscotland · 17/01/2007 09:06

I'm one of those saddos who puts everything in separate bags - makeup in one, sundries in another, diary on its own and then my purse.

That way, I can switch bags easily.

I'm made for bags so I switch often - I've want that ruched leather one from M&S featured in The Times Style mag this past weekend. I've gota birthday coming up next month .

I've got a lovely new bag too! It's a Bergamo one, is lovely soft black Italian leather (got a soaking this morning though ) it was £25 but rrp is £50. I got it in a shop called TJ Hughes which sells good brands of lots of things at bargain prices. The bag also comes in red and brown. Anyway:

purse (new black leather to match new bag. £4 from same shop as bag.)
cheque book
mobile phone
black leather gloves
lighter (no fags - haven't had one in a week and a half)
paracetamol
couple of tampons and panty liners
phone number of guitar tutor (to arrange lessons for DS1)
comb
lip gloss
chewing gum
Somerfield receipt
mini bottle of glasses cleaner and lens cloth for DS2's specs
hair serum
mini penguin keyring bought at weekend and still in plastic bag
leisure centre card which was sent to DD in post with free family swim ticket
dentist card with details of next appointment and receipt for last one.

JackieNo · 17/01/2007 18:15

amicissima, no idea why there's a Klippit in there - I guess it was used to keep a bag closed (drink? maybe DD's wet swimming costume? Though that wouldn't actually have been in the handbag), and I forgot to take it out even though the bag's no longer there. Any idea why yours is there?
