Have just done a quick trawl some of the main news sites, Torygraph, BeeB, RT, Aljeezera, Fail....

One story is not in the news... The imigration-refugee crisis

Is the migration crisis no longer news... Or is it being kept out the news because of the referrendum?

I do agree that it is strange how some stories are in the news and others not. Not just in the UK, also abroad.

I think it has to do with training of journalists and the power of postmodernism in social sciences generally.

Also assume that any good journalist may find it hard to fit in and find a good job as their 'discourse' may not fit with that of the employer. Postmodernism also gave rise to the whole political correctness wave making it much harder for certain people to exercise freedom of speech.

In that sense we are not so different from countries where freedom of press/freedom of expression leave a lot to be desired.

Cameron's uturn accepting child refugees has been in news constantly in last 36 hrs.
Juliet Stephenson was on radio about it yesterday.
Something to do with radiohead song about refugees, too.
