Caligula, on seeing the thread title I was going to post

'Durr!' but see you did so in your first post

We have a wheelie bin that is emptied once a fortnight. In summer I cannot walk past it, because it is crawling with.... those.

We have our recycling collected once a week, which is needed, but they have been seen slinging it into the bin lorry.

This town stinks to high heaven in the summer, and I have seen rats.

paulaplumpbottom · 11/01/2007 20:49

I think its whats in the wheelie bins that attract the rats. Shouldn't it be the other way around.

fizzbuzz · 12/01/2007 10:16

Saw a programme on tv not longer ago, about somewhere that only did fortnightly bin collections.

I think the citizens formed a protest group, and got up petitions, and the council backed down

Colditz, they are saying the summer will be even hotter this year so the garbage will get really ripe.

Mmmm, that's something to look forward to, Paula!
