they don't propose to ALSO look at the changes to the 'points system' used to assess 'level of benefit' under PIP?

prh47bridge, how much of that increase is down to the slowdown of the economy, the shift to an extreme employers' market, and the increase in social divides including dislike of the poor, vulnerable and disabled? Apparently hate crimes are on the up against all traditional minority groups.

I've thought a few times that it's all very well complaining about the increase of mental health problems and saying that we need more funding to help combat them, what about the social and economic conditions that are leading to them? 'Tis all complicated though.

I certainly wouldn't call the UK an "extreme employers' market". Even if there has been a shift I am unclear why it would lead to a rise in disability benefit payments.
