Just read on teletext that Jordan's son Harvey is in a burns unit after an accident at home.
Nothing on news sites yet, though

Just to add, Ds suffered burns/scolds earlier this year. We had to be transferred 80 odd miles to a burns unit for him to be treated. He wasn't that seriously burnt thankfully. The update does sound as though he has been badly injured though. Poor little boy. Poor Katie and Peter too.

It's exactly because I was worried about something like this happening that we turned the thermostat on our hot water down. It gets hot, but not hot enough to scald if the kids were messing about with the hot taps in the bathroom. I feel really sorry for them, what a terrible thing to happen.

No matter what the press think of Jordan + Peter, no-one deserves to go through what they've gone through.
I was sad to hear that it's been such a serious accident. Update here

Oh no!

How awful for them.

Can you imagine how guilty she must feel? Not that I think she should. It must be awful.

ipodthereforipoor · 05/01/2007 16:42

my DS did the same this morning while I was on the loo - 22months old and he just pulled himselfup and over into the bath. I lept up and pulled him out but he had turned the hot tap on - thank god it takes a while for the hot water to come through in this house.

Hope Harvey recovers speedily.

Jimjams2 · 05/01/2007 16:58

ds1 does this with our shower- often in the middle of the night. We always turn it off at the fuse box because of it. Hope he never discovers the bath. Would be a bloody nightmare.
poor Harvey.

shit poor harvey this happened with ds's freind (nt) and the poor lad had a lot of bad scarring.

wannaBeWhateverIWannaBe · 05/01/2007 17:06

Omg this is so horrible. It's actually finominal how much damage can be done with just a small amount of hot water. My cousin pulled a cup of coffee over himself when he was nearly two, the scars he sustained were horrendous, partly caused by someone ripping off his jumper which was one of those nylon types. he spent three months in hospital, and the spray they used to protect the burns caused him to become partially deaf.

Do hope that Harvy will be ok.
