just read on the bbc news website that german women are trying to delay there labour to qualify for goverment handouts!!

when i was in hospital in june a lady on my ward had to delay her labouras her husband was still on his way to the hospital (he had been offshore and was rushed to the hospital) the gave her an epidural to slow things down and he got there just in time!!!

in that state i would have wanted it to hurry up, i cannot imagine staying in that much pain just for dp to get his arse in gear and get there!! (or am i just selfish?)

DD had the last laugh at me when she was born. My GP had put a slightly later (one extra week of confinement) date on my MatB1 form so I would qualify for the changes in Mat Leave and Pay that were coming into effect that April.

DD went well past her due date, and week of confinement date and I only went into labour once in hospital to be induced, 13 days overdue.
