what an animal

tiredemma · 02/12/2006 19:10

fucking vile, evil bastard.

tiredemma · 02/12/2006 19:11

I hope he is tortured in jail.

God, things like this make me soooo mad.

angrymamma · 02/12/2006 19:16

At least they banged him up indefinitely. About time Judges got stricter with paedos.

angrymamma · 02/12/2006 20:42

Working as a nursery nurse. Sick.

I know this is going to sound bad but there was a bloke working at my DD's nursery on Friday and the thought 'paedo' crossed my mind. Why do men want to work with kids? Don't get it.

angrymamma · 02/12/2006 20:43

Should add he was a trainee nursery nurse or nursery assistant.

7swansaswimmingup · 02/12/2006 20:45

sick bastard and when he gets out how are they going to stop him owning a camera or phonewith a camera, thats daft even trying to enforce it

lulumama · 02/12/2006 20:45

why do men want to work with kids.......... ?

what about all the dads out there...? who are care workers , football coaches..paediatricians...social workers..teachers...are they all paedophiles??????

why can;t men have paternal feelings and want to give kids a better life>!>!

my DH has a job that brings him in contact with families and kids all the time... he is not doing the job because he is a paedophile.......

tiredemma · 02/12/2006 20:45

same reason why women would want to?

I dont have a problem with men working with kids, there have been some fantastic male nursery nurses at dc's nursery.

Some men may not actively go out seeking working with children specifically because people will assume that they are paedophiles, thats a shame.

angrymamma · 02/12/2006 20:47

7swans. Yes, how are they going to stop him owning a mobile without camera etc. How stupid.

angrymamma · 02/12/2006 20:48

Sorry but I do think it's weird a bloke would want to work with little kids. Sorry but it's weird.

7swansaswimmingup · 02/12/2006 20:49

my uncles is a care worker for kids but i have to say i nearly put a post on here this morning when i sitting in my living room watching the kids play out in the street and i thought if i was a man watching id immediately be presumed to be a pervert

lulumama · 02/12/2006 20:50

well, i stand by what i said...it is a shame , as tiredemma says, as men who are committed to helping children and families can be put off doing that sort of work for fear of being labelled...

tiredemma · 02/12/2006 20:50

why is it weird? I dont understand?

lulumama · 02/12/2006 20:52

obviously , every man who wants to work with kids or families....is a peadophile

angrymamma · 02/12/2006 20:53

So you don't think it's weird a bloke teaching nursery or reception kids?

7swansaswimmingup · 02/12/2006 20:55

have to say angrymama, i wouldnt find it weird if my ds had a male teacher at reception, might be quite nice if we saw more male teachers. there isnt any at all at ds nursery or any male members of staff at the infant/junior school. i think its nice for the boys to have male teachers to relate too

tribpot · 02/12/2006 20:55

WTF?! My dh is a SAHD, is that weird?! We cannot honestly be saying that half the population is off-limits for caring for small children.

tiredemma · 02/12/2006 20:56

No not at all. I dont find anything 'weird' about it.

Do you think that all men who want to work with children, do so for their own sexual gratification? Is that why you think its weird??

MrsJohnCuSackFullOfPresents · 02/12/2006 20:57

they can't stop him owning a camera/mobile but to do so would be a breach of his release and so he could be immediately be banged up again IYSWIM

I think it's very sad that anyone would think it's weird of a man to want to work with kids. Why is only women who want to teach and help children? Does that make my friend's dad who has been a primary school head for years weird? Does it make any dad who helps out on school trips or with sports coaching, or who is a music teacher weird? Just because of a few isolated incidences?

it's a really sad attitude because it marginalises men and almost criminalizes men.

taylormama · 02/12/2006 20:58

you know i don't think it is weird that men want to work with children - there was a trainee male midwife in my hospital when i gave birth to DS. Look at all the male doctors, nurses etc ... angrymama - why is it so weird?

lulumama · 02/12/2006 20:58

no i wouldnt;!!!

there are several male teachers at DS's school....

what makes you think women wouldn;t go into those professions for the wrong reasons?

are you presuming all male teachers, sports coaches etc are perverts???? if so , you will be offending a lot of peoples husbands, brothers, sons & uncles....

i do not doubt for a second some men go into those professions for the wrong reasons...but a tiny tiny minority...

unfair to tar everyone with the same brush and make dangerous and sweeping generalisations...IMO

taylormama · 02/12/2006 20:59

angrymama - what if your DH/DP was at a football match or watching your kids swimming and someone thought he was doing it for kicks? You would be pretty pissed off at them for being judgemental wouldn't you?????

angrymamma · 02/12/2006 21:04

I still think it is weird for a bloke to want to work with nursery/reception kids. Sorry, but that is the way I feel.

lulumama · 02/12/2006 21:06

well,, if you have sons...and they want to be teachers or coaches or social workers or work with kids...lets pray they don;t come up against such closed minded views......
