really distressed after seeing this report on fb. haven't seen it in the mainstream media and am really shocked. this is crazy. crazy that the world can unite to condemn the killing of Cecile (I was one of those people) but this news is hardly reported. the remaining members of this family are critically ill in hospital. why would anyone want to do this? I have friends and family in Israel who seem to think this is not major news.

It is absolutely horrific what those settlers have done. It is audacious that illegal settlers can harass Palestinians out of their own homes and land. sadly, being harassed is the norm for Palestinians. Apparently they are not human enough to have human rights.

Oh and Netanyahu condemning violence is totally farcical when he is very much responsible for creating a climate of fear and hatred. He really could not care less how many Palestininan children die.

Settlers think nothing of driving cars over palestinian pedestrians. Every day there is an incident where Palestinians are routinely humiliated by Israeli soldiers. I am just sat there wondering how many Palestinians died or were injured by Israeli soldiers and settlers in the last week. The world continues to look the other way.

B'Tselem are a Israeli human rights group. Nobody is demonizing all of Israel. Settlers are in occupied territories. Netanyahu needs to stop ignoring what they do to Palestinian people and their children.

You mightn't like the tone of a thread originally started because of the death of a baby, but there is no reason a thread about Palestine shouldn't be allowed on the news section of a huge Internet forum. MNHQ are clearly aware of the thread, it's fine.

That was a very good article itisall.what is really sad is the 'tone' of most articles is that this is nothing new. Palestinians are used to this level of violence.

That is not happening because Israel is and wants to remain a Jewish state, albeit with an Arab minority. If they say outright that those occupied lands are part of Israel, then they will have to also say that the people living on it (Muslim Palestinians) are citizens of Israel. Instead, they steal the land little by little, building illegal houses for Jewish settlers.

The jewish settlers enjoy making the Palestinian lives a misery, as does Netanyahu. Just because he is dishing out speeches to say that this is a crime, does not absolve him from his own responsibility in exacerbating the situation. Was not so long ago that he also threw massive fire power at the Palestinian children.

Just reading about the little baby's father who managed to pull out his wife and 4 year old out. He is a construction worker, building houses for the settlers. Dear God, is there no humanity left on this earth.

I completely agree with you Puple. It's sickening what the Israelis are doing, and even more so because our government and Americas support it.

The Palestinian people aren't even allowed a voice, as shown by comments earlier on this thread. As soon as anyone tries to speak the truth they are silenced.

Special subject, oh....so it was those nasty palestinians that started this was it? Oh yes, had the bad Palestinians not attacked the Israeli girl, then none of this would have happened right? In fact, the Palestinians are to blame for all their suffering arent they? They make the Israel government and army butcher their kids every now and again. Those horrible Palestinians who make Israel put them in an open cage, who have their calories rationed by Israel so they have stunted growth, who would have been loaded on apartheid era segregation buses, had the world not been outraged.

israel needs to start treating Palestinians as humans, but that is deemed unacceptable to the jewish settlers who like playing 'price tag'. Sickening.

Do you want to start comparing suffering? Who suffered more? The Palestinian boy or the Israeli girl? What satisfaction does it give anyone to see a child in pain? What does it matter whether the child was jewish or Palestinian? The crime against the girl was most heinous.

Why has Israel killed 15 Palestinian children for every Israeli child killed since year 2000. Does it hurt more if Israeli children die? Do Palestinian children not feel pain? Do they not suffer trauma? Is it ok for the Israeli army to shoot children in their back and claim that the child was too aggressive, about to attack them? How many more Palestinian children need to die before Israel says enough is enough? What are these children paying the price for?
