This cannot be real, surely!?
If this woman genuinely is 8 months pregnant (like me who has a 'tiny/neat bump') then how big is that baby and just...how?
Thoughts?

I was fit when I got pregnant, regular triathlons and training for a iron man. I had abs....by 30weeks I looked like the Michelin Man Grin. I'm 4foot and a fart and had a 7lb 10oz baby. My friend similar athletic ability but just over 6ft looked about 3months pregnant at full term and not a swollen limb in sight Shock

we both excersised during our pregnancies, I did stop though after a. episode of pre term labor but did continue to swim.

on the protein shake front, no you shouldn't take them. They have more than just protein, many have caffeine some have amino acids you shouldn't be taking in high quantities whilst pregnant, many are fortified with sweetners and some are actually really bad and have really bad shit in them basically.

I'm a shade over 5'11'' and I got told off at 8 months pg for taking a short cut to the server room where I worked - person in question refused to believe I was that pregnant. I took the short cut because I was knackered and everything ached. I've always had small bumps up to about 36 weeks, babies 7.6 and 7.11 so a healthy weight.

anothernumberone · 14/03/2015 16:57

Dsis is very tall and had tiny bumps on her kids so much so that she got shoved out of the way at a baseball game at nearly 9 mths pregnant to let the 6 month pregnant lady through.

Artandco · 14/03/2015 16:59

She's 7 months pregnant though not 9months. I had a barely there bump at 30 weeks ( she's only 3 weeks more). I had a small But decent size bump by the time mine were born both times

I'm sure another 7 weeks will round the belly out a little more

GlitzAndGigglesx · 14/03/2015 17:02

It'll take me a couple of years to look like that AFTER child birth Grin. I'm 20 weeks and you can tell but haven't actually gained weight elsewhere and no stretch marks.....yet

RJnomore · 14/03/2015 17:06

Ah she looks just fine to me. She's definitely pregnant and she's got very strong muscles. I posted about this this week already, but with dd2 I had a disagreement with the maternity Physio, I was in hospital at 29/30 weeks and she refused to believe I hadn't got my dates wrong ( despite multiple scans, I had a high risk pregnancy). I was wearing maternity clothes with belts. I ended up having her at 32 weeks but she was actually bigger than anyone had expected - almost five pounds by then!

The protein shakes probably aren't a great idea as she might be putting strain on her kidneys, but hey she's exercising, she's probably eating pretty well along with them, it isn't like she's smoking drinking and mainlining fast food. Poor woman, a classic instance of how you just can't win.

I was 5lb 3oz when born, mum did not show at all throughout, and many thought she was a bit mental and imagining the pregnancy, one person even said she assumed I was adopted when mum did actually start pushing a pram about the village with a real baby inside.

Mum was 5 foot 7 and skinny as a rake (naturally, she certainly never went to the gym - I was born in the 70s).

People carry differently.

TheFairyCaravan · 14/03/2015 17:10

I only put on 11lbs when I was pregnant with DS2, he was 8lbs. I was 8 stone 11 the day I gave birth and back in my size 8 jeans 2 days later.

With DS1 I put on a stone (he was 8lbs 3) and was back in my normal clothes just over a week later. When I was pregnant with him I didn't show until I was almost 7 months. I was very, very lucky and never got any stretch marks with either of them.

Flingingmelon · 14/03/2015 17:21

I get that people carry their weight differently, but where are all her other organs? In her boobs? Smile

MrsBennington · 15/03/2015 00:09

I ran until 3 or 4 weeks before each of mine, put on about a stone or less in weight - unfortunately I didnt have her impressive abs so had a bump ! Soon as baby was out though back to normal weight although tummy probably never going to be the same :(

DazzleU · 15/03/2015 12:27

I was like that with my first at 8 months - I weighed less after birth than before just from eating better and having 30 min walk to walk up seriously steep hills thanks to job change at start of pg.

Did look more pg at 9 months - though DD1 never curled up like other babies and like to be held straight.

Baby was 9 lb 2 - much to amazement of MW. Next pg looked pg at same weight almost immediately.

fatlazymummy · 02/04/2015 16:47

She looks fantastic. That's the way I hoped I would look when I was pregnant, lol. As it happens ,I was quite small in my 2nd pregnancy though nowhere near as fit.
Predictably, lots of negative comments, as if pregnant women should give up all normal life for 9 months. As long as she's receiving adequate pre natal care (and checking her protein shakes) the baby will have as much chance of being born healthy as any other baby.

noddyholder · 02/04/2015 16:57

I was like that and my ds was 6'4 so thats probably why
