Personally, I can't see why Dads are any different to mum's in this regard. If the child's father doesn't smoke, drink etc and doesn't wriggle and kick you out of bed, why on earth shouldn't he sleep with his baby.

FF DD1 actually snuggled up with DH as well if not better when she felt ill or grumpy. She didn't co-sleep much, as when she was feeling happy she was an impossible wriggler.

DD2 always did the breast between us first and fell asleep on the other breast on the cool outer edge of my side of the bed.

Honestly, this makes me Angry people really have no concept of relative risks.

There's probably no difference between dads and ff mums, it's the difference between the person breastfeeding the baby and anyone else which is significant I think.
