Poor girl, I wonder how she manage to fit back into her family - it will be so hard for all of them.

Just saw this on the news. What a truly awful thing. Wonder if she'll ever be able to live a normal life.

This is so sad. There was a report saying that it's unlikely she'll ever really recover psychologically from this.

this is really weird, i read about a case a few years ago the girl didn't escape even though she had a few chances to, i wish i could remember the details, will google. its so sad for her and her family.

I just read a book by one of the girls who was kidnapped by that Belgian nutter Marc Dutroux,about ten years ago.

at least she's alive though. her mother must be beside herself.

moondog - thanks for that. Have been bugging myself all day trying to remember that Belgian case.

Two girls in that case died because the bloke went to prison on an unrelated charge and his wife didn't feed them in their box in the cellar,although she did feed the guard dogs.

Pure Evil

i feel a strange kind of gratefulness to him that he killed himself and not her though, at least he may have had some conscience, unlike in the Belgian case, which just defies human belief.
