Saw India, but didn't see Rod Liddle - which section was that in OO?

oliveoil · 15/08/2006 10:23

Ah, that explains it. I'm such a girly I do Style, Review, Culture & Homes & Gardens. Shall go & check Rod out now!

oliveoil · 15/08/2006 11:20

I read News Review, Homes and then wrestle dh for the main Times. He reads Every Single Article and takes eons.

Then I read the mags through the week and finish on Friday, ready for the next one!

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh, the days when you would spend allllllll day leisurely flicking through.

I would so love to repeat the manner in which Nobody was described by Mr Amusing!!! What a very naughty boy. Tsk, tsk will probably find himself accused of slander too.

SpaceCadet · 15/08/2006 11:23

saw india knights article about family circle mag.
she seriously slated no one in particular and sais she is frequently threatened with legal action

oliveoil · 15/08/2006 11:24

she said that she got lots of nasty emails from 'certain sections' when she did a piece on Nobody in the past

I liked the way IK defended MN and called it an admirable website - and after the many posts on here slagging her off

but tehn she is paid to be contraversial, so probably enjoys getting flack

KathyMCMLXXII · 15/08/2006 14:11

Clearly IK appreciates that if you put your head above the parapet you must expect to be attacked

MadamePlatypus · 15/08/2006 14:14

I agree with that theory Ursula - it does suggest where the strange idea that mumsnet was running some kind of campaign came from.

bea · 15/08/2006 21:56

hee hee! good articles... ta! i missed all the hulabaloo... was away on hols and unconnected!!!!

jamiesam · 15/08/2006 22:04

did nobody else notice that Rod Liddle called us all lunatics? The cheek!

I mean, obviously, he's got a point but...

I see nobody has an ally in IK - not! Not seen any articles defending nobody's position yet?

berrycherry · 16/08/2006 14:53

I loved the Lunatics comment!!! pronbably quite right in some cases....
India Knight is fab

Personally not interested in a certain childless authors thoughts on childcare, you can only trust a parent to tell you how it really is

laudaud · 16/08/2006 15:58

Iread Rod Liddle's comment to mean MN full of lunatics but I think he was referring to the internet in general - probably right either way you read it!
