I can see the right wing views gathering swiftly to fill a total void in joined up thinking from the government and the left

I love the fact that we have traditionally welcomed all to this country and I believe that our immigrant population is extremely valuable to the economy and culture of GB. But this economic migration is on a scale that our infrastructure just can't cope with and I am sick of this pathetic governments refusal to do anything about it.

it is astonishing that they got their predictions so massively wrong for the most recent countries entry to the eu immigration numbers..

I really can't see that there is an alternative to making restrictions for Romania and bulgaria like most other cpountries or pushing for a Europe wide policy.

Where are all the school places and gps and language teachers going to come from, homes?

And should people be encouraged to come when they will have to live in multi occupancy.

Apparently private landlords are buying up blocks of houses on new developments to let out in that way. Skewing the whole local economy in some places (quite often rural) eg Boston Lincs and Cornwall.

I can't see the EU going for any kind of migration restrictions as it goes against the whole ethos. But surely something needs to be done? I fear that the Natonal Front will only get more and more support and there will be more and more racism (horrendous already in Kent when I was there).
