she must have been VAST.

expatinscotland · 31/07/2006 10:48

I know a woman who delivered an 11lb., 12 oz baby vaginally. It can be done!

She was only 22 when she had him. He's called Gary and he's a normal sized 3 year old now.

joelallie · 31/07/2006 12:51

Bloody hell! I was all set to make some sort of 'huh....a mere minnow' comment 'cos mine was 10lb 4.....but ...bloody hell.....nothing else to say really.

MrsJohnCusack · 31/07/2006 12:53

good god what a size
congrats to them obviously
I'm fed up with slagging off names so I'm not going to say anything, but I've heard worse

mazzystar · 31/07/2006 12:55

Wow

Well his second name suits him

I love the name Atlas, I have a Danish friend who's son is called that, he's a bruiser too.

beckybrastraps · 31/07/2006 12:56

My sister's friend had an 11 lb baby with a 22 minute labour. It took longer to stich her up than it did for the baby to come out.

aragon · 31/07/2006 12:56

Bay Atlas! (raised eyebrow emoticon)

Bizarre.

snowleopard · 31/07/2006 13:19

Bay is nice (speaks she of the twattish naming tendencies).

Bay as in lovely sandy seaside bay. Bay as in headland, dune, shore and tide. I like it.

NomDePlume · 31/07/2006 13:27

Blimey O'reilly . What a big boy he is. Congrats to the luverly Kirstie.

NomDePlume · 31/07/2006 13:28

I rather like Bay.

piglit · 31/07/2006 13:32

Total respect to you Kirstie. 11lbs 11. Ouch ouch and ouch again.

mimoyello · 31/07/2006 15:13

Or how about "Poole Harbour" instead of
"Bay Atlas", which are so obviously geographic location, location, locations ?

Or how about "Rim Pacific" ??
Or "Beach Sunami" ??

Gosh at that weight I would have felt like I was pushing out an ocean too !

Well, she has always looked like a woman who knew how to nourish herself, and now she has clearly shown she knows how to nourish a baby! What a weight! I guess all the 0-3 month stuff she bought will soon be on Ebay........

cupcakes · 31/07/2006 15:41

I quite like the name Bay. It's growing on me.

southeastastra · 31/07/2006 15:43

let's bey blade!

marthamoo · 31/07/2006 15:45

11, 11... that's almost twice what my babies weighed.

Bay, eh?

Miaou · 31/07/2006 15:48

Hehehe, if he takes her surname his initials will be BAA

as in sheep

baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

Miaou · 31/07/2006 15:48

Love Kirsty though (love her clothes too, so there )

marthamoo · 31/07/2006 15:49

Ooh and Mel Gibson arrested for drink driving...

DumbledoresGirl · 31/07/2006 15:51

(And admitted to a lifelong drink problem! I had no idea!)

expatinscotland · 31/07/2006 15:55

it reminds me of rum. bay rum.

poor kirstie sounded bunged up the whole time she was pregnant.

hulababy · 31/07/2006 15:56

Sister's boyfriend's sister (does that make sense?!!!) has had 3 children naturally, with no more than gas and air each time. Smallest one was well over 10lbs. Last one was well over 12lbs IIRR. Ouch!!!

Congratulations to the Allsop family.
