Phwoar !
I suppose its not as risky as putting out fires in buildings - just a very large area to control.

buffythenappyslayer · 21/07/2006 18:54

its on a mountain, and just as they got they flames down, the wind started it up again.it started when it was struck by lightening 2 days ago.

blimey!
I like Llangollen - very pretty. We have visited Thomas there on several occasions & done severla walks up that very steep hill!

buffythenappyslayer · 21/07/2006 18:57

they got called to haven in pwllheli 4 times this week for gorse fires.yesterday they got cornered by the flames because the pwllheli pump operator stood chatting and didnt hear them shout for the water!!
nearly had kittens when dh told me!!!
(the fireman got a b*llocking from the chief fire officer)

scary!

buffythenappyslayer · 21/07/2006 19:00

it is!!
think id feel better if he rang to let me know he was ok,but guess its hard to use a mobile when hes holding a hose!!!

I'd just try & listen to local radio for any updates

southeastastra · 21/07/2006 19:03

blimey that's actually quite scary have you seen this ? (first vid)

buffythenappyslayer · 21/07/2006 19:08

wont let me play it,something to do with real player not being installed,(thought it was though)
when he rang me at lunch time to say they were going, they were told to expect to be away for most of teh weekend.
just hope it is dying down, and that they are all ok.
