Well done to the woman for feeling able to speak out after all this time. Awful that things like this seem almost endemic and keep being unearthed.

I wonder who the 'TV star' in question is ...?

Any reports other than the Dialy Mail about this?

The reporting sounds a bit wrong - there is no "limitation" on when a crime can be prosecuted and there are oodles of cases from the 70s onwards leading to charges now. Any lawyers expand on what might be going on here (or tell me whereI misunderstood about limitations)? Thanks.

No I haven't seen it anywhere other than the DM site, and it seems to have moved off their main home page (had to search for it when I wanted to check the wording)
